My name is Caydee, but you can call me KD.
I’m 2025 Cyberarts and Arts and Culture SHSM graduate. I’m also an incoming student to Seneca for Animation in 2025!
I have a passion for writing and storytelling which I want to show through my storyboards and animation.
I’ve created two films that were featured in Toronto Youth Shorts 2024 and TAAFI 2025! You can watch them here @cadespades !
I’ve always loved to come up with ideas and still do. My longest running idea is a comic I made with 3 of my friends called “Around the Corner”. It’s a story about 5 teenagers, all of which are not human who are just trying to get through high school. Since I had more creative freedom with my projects in grade 11 and 12 I’ve tried to incorporate this idea into almost all of my projects. In my spare time, I use the tools I have access to to work on my own projects outside of school.
Current Projects
I had the amazing opportunity to work with Matthew Lyon from Lakeside Animation Studios on a pitch called “GeoWeGo!”.
GeoWeGo is a preschool show educating kids on shapes and geometry with silly shape characters. I work as a storyboard artist and rough animator.

“Way to Wonder” was a children’s animated tv show pitch created by my classmates and I for our Art Business course. Way to wonder is a show about Katrina, a dream witch who is chasing the dream pirate, Stormboy, as he goes from dream to dream stealing keys. My job was to make concepts, character art and a story board based on our idea of a pilot. We pitched this idea to Industrial Brothers!

“The Red Forest” is an idea for an animation made in grade 11 media arts. Its a story following two friends, Kadence, a vampire, and Temper, a witch. Its based on two characters from Around the Corner.
Personal Projects
A transformation animation made in storyboard pro for a show following kids with food themed powers who use cooking to defeat hungry aliens.
“Around the Corner” is a comic my friends and I have been developing since grade 9. I’ve been creating more and more for this idea as I expand my artistic capabilities
“HEARTACHE” is an animatic for Around the Corner I scripted myself. It follows two characters as they react to love in different ways. Here is a clip of the first part of my script!
