Animatic
I decided to go with the zombie-in-the-chair idea and created an animatic of the student finding and entering the room.
Animation Test
I made this animation in Toon Boom Harmony set in a zombie attack at school. The character is preparing to enter a room and discover what’s waiting for her on the other side.

Here is a collection of ideas inspired by the various exhibits I visited at the ROM. I ended using the school uniform life vest as inspiration, but went a different direction from the ideas I had written down.
Coming up with character design for the girl scout (who I end up naming Cece) and a raccoon. The story I had in mind was that Cece was lonely due to the other girl scouts not wanting to be friends with her. She ends up wandering off and finds a raccoon who, at first is not enthusiastic about the girl. However, they end up being friends.
Final Concept Art
I created a girl scout character as I thought the school uniform inspired life vest looked a lot like a girl scout uniform. Made in Adobe Photoshop.
